General Purpose of Job :

Following established procedures obtains blood specimens for clinical laboratory analysis for the patient population served by UMH-West. Distributes specimens promptly to the laboratory performs waived point-of-care testing and maintains clinical and professional competency.

Education :

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED
• 1-2 years of college (pre-med or pre-MLS) is preferred.

License / Certification / Registration :

• Certification is preferred after one year of experience with ASCP ASPT NCA and AMT

Experience :

• Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant training/ experience is preferred.
